What the Workshop Focuses On
Through a series of timed, task-based activity stations, students will be challenged to demonstrate:
- Manual dexterity and fine motor control
- Hand–eye coordination and grip precision
- Patience, focus, and attention to detail
- Ability to understand and follow instructions
- Spatial awareness and pattern recognition
- Communication and reflective thinking
These skills are crucial for both Dentistry and Medicine.
Workshop Format
Students rotate through multiple short stations, each designed to test different aspects of dexterity and coordination. Activities may include precision handling tasks, non-dominant hand challenges, pattern-based exercises, tool handling, and other fine motor exercises similar to those observed in dental school assessments.
Each station includes:
- Clear written instructions
- Fixed time limits for consistency
- Observation of accuracy, neatness, control, and approach
Why This Matters
Dental and medical schools value applicants who can demonstrate readiness for the practical demands of the profession. This workshop helps students build evidence of these skills while gaining confidence in explaining their suitability for Dentistry during interviews and applications.
What You Will Get
- Hands-on experience with key practical skills
- A debrief session about the purpose of each station
